I've been searching on the internett for some answers, and found some forums claming SOE is working on a Mac version of PS2 (Planetside 2)! My question to you my fellow mac redditers, can a modern mac run Planetside 2 on reasonable settings? Below are listed the current recommended specs for running PlanetSide 2 as it was meant to be run. Note that some machines may still be able to run the game with less than the Minimum Recommended Specs. MINIMUM RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. OS: Windows 7 (64-bit) or newer; Processor: Core i5-4460 or better; Memory: 6 GB DDR3 RAM. Remember that Planetside 2 is not a game for the selfish. You can play Planetside 2 in classic Chuck Norris “Lone Wolf McQuade” style, pitting your skill against the available hordes of human.

This game is not available in the Porting Kit yet. Porting Kit is the new application which “ports” the game to your Mac. The video and download links in the slider are outdated and won’t work on OS X 10.11+. Fortunately there is way to fix/update it, install the game with the Porting Kit using this video instruction. Or when you use the Crossover application the Crosstie below (when available).
